Brands leveled up their social media marketing for National Video Game Day this week. We found in our State of Gaming trend that 73% of Gen Z and Millennials play video games weekly, and brands have been getting more involved in marketing on the medium to reach them. Brands with obvious tie-ins to the industry like Red Bull created content to celebrate the holiday, but so did non-endemic brands like Honda—which posted a video detailing their cars’ game cameos.
