L.O.L. Surprise and Nintendo Switch both made Target’s and Walmart’s top toys lists for the holiday season. Similar trends resurface on both retailers’ predictions as we’ve seen at past New York Toy Fairs: unboxing experiences, collectibles, and popular franchises like PAW Patrol. Now that the summer is coming to an end, toy retailers are looking ahead to a holiday shopping season missing a key competitor: Toys R Us. And, per our Pre-Holiday Shopping Topline, Millennials ranked both Target and Walmart as places they planned to shop last year. (USA Today, Kidscreen)
