Video game developer EA Sports is ending its partnership with FIFA to create its own virtual football game. After 30 years of collaboration on the popular virtual football game FIFA, EA Sports is launching EA Sports FC, its own version of the game. FIFA boasts some 150M players, which both brands will now be vying for. EA Sports is already going hard on the advertisement of the new 2023 edition of the game, which will launch in July, but things might be more complicated for FIFA, who won’t be launching a game this year. Young Europeans are huge fans of the FIFA football game, and YPulse’s recent WE Gaming Report shows it’s their favourite video / mobile game. (BBC)
