The majority of Millennials want to take solo adventures this year. Recent research from WeRoad, a European travel agency that groups together solo travelers for global excursions, found that 72% of Millennials want to travel in 2023 “in the hunt for an adventure” and when asked about their travel companions, over half of them said they “plan to take-off alone rather than with friends or family.” Just 35% said they would travel with a partner or their friends, showing how even though this gen is maturing, they’re prioritizing their self-care and self-discovery. While European destinations are at the top of their travel lists, Asian countries come in at a close second. YPulse’s Travel report data shows that over half of Millennials are interested in getting closer to nature/the countryside when traveling and they’re more likely than Gen Z to be very/extremely interested in solo travel destinations like wellness retreats.
