Auto Report

Auto ownership continues to shift. Young consumers can lease or own a car/truck, and Millennials are taking advantage of it all. While most Gen Z young people are too young to own a car, they can still get around with public transit or ride-sharing services. In addition to alternatives, young people are not opposed to pre-loved cars. To most young people, being able to get around is all they care about!

This year’s Auto report will explore young consumers’ thoughts on owning/leasing cars/trucks, their preferred way to shop for cars, and the type of cars they are willing to buy.

  • Young consumers attitudes on purchasing cars/trucks
  • How and where young people are purchasing/leasing cars and trucks
  • What Gen Z and Millennials think about electric and self-driving cars
  • Why Gen Z is prioritizing pre-owned cars over new ones

Report length: 15 pages, North America report is based on a survey of 1500 13-39-year-olds in the U.S. and Canada, fielded in November. Western Europe report is based on a survey of 2500 13-39-year-olds in the U.K., Italy, Spain, France, and Germany, fielded in November 2022
