Vaccine-card apparel could be the next pandemic fashion trend. With the pandemic continuing to evolve, carrying one’s proof of vaccination is becoming more common and some brands are experimenting with apparel and accessories that allow consumers to easily show their vaccine status. Fashion tech company Cala created a “vax card tee” ($38) that has a pocket on the front for easily displaying one’s vaccine card, and Cala’s CEO notes that the brand plans to produce more vaccine-card apparel including lanyards, armbands, fanny packs, and a zip-up jacket. Searches for “vaccine card holder” on Amazon currently has more than 2,000 results—many of them being clear sleeves to protect the paper card. And a vendor on Etsy now offers more than 4,000 options for sleeves, wallets, and keychains designed for vaccine cards.
