Kylie Cosmetics has relaunched via livestream shopping. After shutting down its site and Instagram page in May to reformulate its products with “clean” and “vegan” ingredients, Kylie Cosmetics has officially relaunched with a new site design and live shopping debut that “broke the internet.” For the brand’s first attempt at livestream shopping, Kylie Jenner tested the products while links to purchase the items directly popped up on viewers’ screens. In less than two hours, several lip kits and glosses were sold out. Kylie Cosmetics is known for embracing cutting-edge ecommerce shopping models, and the brand’s new site also features a virtual shopping experience where users can hangout in a virtual nightclub to see makeup looks on avatars and learn more about featured products. Whether it’s through livestream shopping, virtual fitting rooms, or influencer shopping videos, Gen Z and Millennials are looking for experiences as they shop, and 51% say they’re interested in livestream shopping post-COVID according to YPulse’s shopping and retail research.
