McDonalds is tapping K-Pop megastars BTS for (another) celebrity meal promotion. Food brands have been reinventing influencer and celebrity collaborations, and McDonald’s is continuing the trend with a Famous Order promotion from K-Pop megastars BTS coming next month. This isn’t the first time the fast food chain has collaborated with a celebrity powerhouse. McDonalds had massive success teaming up with Travis Scott, causing some locations to experience shortages of its Quarter Pounder as a result. The BTS meal will include the Korean boy band’s favorites: McNuggets, medium fries, a medium Coke, and Sweet Chili and Cajun sauces. As BTS is an international success, the collaboration will be the first time McDonalds introduces the signature menu item to multiple markets, launching it in nearly 50 countries including the U.S. (CNBC, Business Insider)
