More than half of young consumers have talked about life insurance during COVID.

More than half of young consumers have talked about life insurance during COVID. According to a ValvePenguin survey, 55% of consumers have talked with a loved one about life insurance during the pandemic, with Gen Z and Millennials more likely to have these conversations. Thirteen percent of consumers researched life insurance options for the first time, while 10% purchased a life insurance policy for the first time. Twenty-four percent of Gen Z purchased their first life insurance policy, while 17% of Millennials did. However, 28% of respondents avoid thinking about life insurance because they think it’s too depressing. YPulse’s insurance report found that 73% of 13-39-year-olds say that having life insurance has become more important to them because of COVID. (ValvePenguin)
