TikTok is launching six new interactive music features as a way to stave off the competition. From its Duet feature to branded songs, TikTok has become a music trendsetter in the last year—and other major platforms have been trying to catch up. But to stay ahead of the competition, the app just unveiled six new music effects that will roll out in coming weeks and offer “interactivity, visualizations, animations, and more.” The first feature to be launched will be the Music Visualizer, which allows users “to run real-time beat tracking to animate a retro greenscreen landscape.” It works with any sounds in TikTok’s music library, and there have already been more than 28K videos created using it.
