Thanks to COVID, Spring Break plans will look different this year. While we’ve predicted that young consumers will be traveling more later this year, the first half of 2021 will most likely be lackluster for wanderlusters. At the beginning of lockdown last spring, crowds jammed the beaches along Florida and Texas, but many of those areas “don’t want to see a repeat of last year.” Some popular destinations are already making plans to have stricter limits on group gatherings, mask mandates, and restrictions at hotels, restaurants, and bars. And because most college students aren’t eligible for the vaccine until later in the year, most spring break hotspots are likely to be quieter or have older visitors this year. (NYTimes)
