Meanwhile, as quarantine consumers turn to the outdoors for stability, “gorpcore” (a.k.a. “functional outdoor pieces” like utility vests, fleece jackets, and hiking boots) has been increasingly popular. But experts agree that, “much like the 1920s,” post-vaccine consumers will be excited to celebrate with more bold or embellished clothing.
