A surprising piece of ‘90s tech is seeing a sales uptick: disposable cameras. First, there was a viral filter to mimic the device’s effect, called HujiCam. Now, young people are getting the timestamped and grainy look the old school way by actually snapping pics and getting the film developed. One eighteen-year-old explains that, “They look more authentic,” exemplifying the reason teens are opting for ugly or low-quality content. Influencer David Dobrik even started a social media account dedicated to his disposable pics, which has more than two million followers. (LAT)
