Kohl’s is going big on back-to-school savings. With the brand seeing some momentum and turnaround after years of soft sales, super budget-friendly back-to-school offerings could be the push they need to get tweens’ parents back in department stores. As inflation hit a three-year high last month, the retailer is spotlighting thousands of items priced under $25 for the back-to-school season. The lineup includes trusted names like Levi’s and Nike but also brings value-driven store-exclusive brands to the front, like $7 tops from Kids’ SO and Sonoma and $20 Tek Gear fleece. Beyond the low prices, the brand also launched an AI shopping assistant to help consumers with product recommendations and outfit inspiration. Earlier this year, it also launched a “Deal Bar” with items $10-and-under in all of its stores. (Retail Dive)
