Berlin’s techno scene is now a UNESCO heritage. During the 1980s, Berlin emerged as a leading center of the techno subculture, and in recent years it became a global clubbing destination for Gen Z and Millennials. Now, the German Commission for UNESCO voted to incorporate Berlin’s nightlife into the “intangible cultural heritage” of the country.
