Linda Yaccarino, CEO of X, says that less than 1% of the app’s U.S. users are teens.During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on kids’ online safety, she also revealed that there are currently 90M X users in the U.S., a decrease from the reported 95.4M estimated users as of January 2023. When Elon Musk rebranded Twitter as X, he claimed the platform had 550M monthly active users. And while X’s user base has been growing, with over 10M people signing up just in December 2023, the app continues to have a small percentage for teen users in the country.
