Menu anxiety is a unique sensation that 41% of Gen Z and Millennials suffer from. Extensive options causing stress and indecision is a common experience among young diners. A study of 2K adults found that 87% of Gen Z aged 18-24 experience menu anxiety, compared to 67% of all respondents. Some young adults even rely on others to order for them out of nervousness. The research highlights that 40% of Gen Z say they review the entire menu before dining out and may choose not to eat out at all if they can’t pre-plan their meal. YPulse data shows young people lean towards preferring to eat something familiar than something new and different, which may be part of their fear to order unprepared. (Curly Tales)
