Gen Z shows the highest support for socialism. A survey from Business Insider found that 28% of Gen Z (18-26) in the U.S. prefer socialism to capitalism—the most of any generations—reflecting a lack of confidence in capitalism and dissatisfaction with economic inequality. The gen believes that high housing, healthcare, and college costs are the main failures of the current capitalist system, so they’re seeking alternatives. But experts suggest that for Gen Z to enact change, they will have to find a way to sell unpopular policies, like higher taxes, to reduce inequality. (Business Insider)
