TikTok parent ByteDance is leaning into AI development. The tech giant is launching a public platform allowing users the opportunity to develop their own artificial intelligence models. According to ByteDance, the new platform is intended to be “a competitor for similar products offered by other China-based companies, including Alibaba’s Bailian and Baidu’s Qianfan.” YPulse data shows nearly two thirds of Gen Z and Millennials see AI as something that will become an essential part of their everyday lives—that is, of course, if it isn’t already.
