New data shows that much of Gen Z thinks artificial intelligence will overtake the arts within 20 years.

New data shows that much of Gen Z thinks artificial intelligence will overtake the arts within 20 years. The New Consumer newsletter and podcast author / host Dan Frommer just released a report on U.S. consumer trends and attitudes toward the rise of technologies like AI. One key finding is that about half of Gen Z and Millennials believe AI-generated art can be considered real art, while only 17% of Boomers think the same. Furthermore, 41% of Gen Z and Millennials “’somewhat agree’ that 20 years from now, most movies, art, music and books will be created by AI, and almost 40% somewhat agree that the best media will be created by AI within 20 years.” YPulse’s own AI Unpacked trend research shows 24% of Gen Z and Millennials currently think AI could take over the career of an artist.
