Dr. Squatch announced a new kids’ line. Lil’ Squatch is the brand’s attempt at drawing in Gen Alpha, a demographic we know is highly interested in beauty and personal care—and their parents, of course. The new line includes three natural bar soaps that are cold-pressed with natural oils, priced at $12 for the full set, and made for 5-12-year-olds. This isn’t Dr. Squatch’s first foray appealing to Gen Alpha: the brand has partnered with Toy Story 5 and SpongeBob SquarePants before on soaps and deodorants. The success of those limited-edition drops proved that parents were buying the products both for themselves and for their kids, which inspired Dr. Squatch to release this inaugural kids’ line. Lil’ Squatch is only planned to go to market for around four months while the brand gauges consumer interest currently, but engaging the next gen is a full-time pursuit for many brands. (WWD)
