The Chelsea Flower Show is facing an uncertain future with Gen Z. This year’s show featured a King Charles and David Beckham collab and an Aphrodite-themed pleasure garden, but designers said that the 113-year-old event needs to modernize even more to appeal Gen Z and stay afloat. According to one LBC / London Student Network survey, 88% of young people said they don’t feel confident that they’ll ever own a home with a garden—a disconnect that gives young people little reason to pay more than £100 for a ticket to a flower show.
