British Gen Z is dealing with mental health difficulties at twice the rate of Millennials. A new UCL study shows that more than a quarter (28%) of Gen Z report high levels of anxiety and one fifth (21%) have high levels of depressive symptoms at 23-years-old. Compared to the number of Millennials having a longstanding mental health condition in their early 20s a decade ago, Gen Z is more than twice as likely to say they do (22% vs 10%). YPulse knows that young people’s mental health across the U.K. has been at an all time low and that the healthcare system has major gaps. Our Mental Health Report shows that 79% of young Brits have a hard time asking for help, even though they believe no one should be ashamed for doing so. (Medical Xpress)
