Teens are bringing back the hacky sack.

Teens are bringing back the hacky sack. Hello, Millennial optimism! Gen Z and Gen Alpha’s new recess hobby actually isn’t new at all. Across high schools in the U.S., kids are playing hacky sack—and some are making social media accounts to document it, like they do with everything. So far, the trend is mostly popular across the Northeast, where some stores like Dick’s Sporting Goods have completely sold out of the beanbags. The game used to be popular on college campuses in the ‘90s, and its reemergence gets teens socializing off their phones. And whether they want to go analog or their school is banning phone time, this nostalgic trend is exactly in line with Gen Z’s retro interests. (Business Insider)
