Gen Z small business owners feel happier than any other gen. A new survey by VistaPrint shows that 84% of small business founders said they feel happy or very pleased with their professional lives—and that number jumped to 94% among Gen Z business owners. With the freedom and creativity that comes with entrepreneurship, young business owners said they feel “’much happier’ now than in previous years.” And as businesses scale, the survey found that happiness also increases—naturally, as they’re more successful. And Gen Z founders increasingly use AI to grow their businesses, which seems to be inspiring more optimism in some for their future success. Though YPulse’s Employment and Career Goals report shows only 7% of 20-29-year-olds are self-employed currently, 37% say starting their own business is very / extremely important to them in their future career.
