Sprite is aiming to renew their street culture cred with a new “multisensory” platform. With the new tagline “It’s That Fresh,” Sprite is bringing back their iconic lemon-lime logo, re-upping music investments, returning to basketball, and more. One of the first moves is a new “Sprite Sound,” a fresh crack and fizzle made in collab with producer Mustard (yes, from the Super Bowl). They also made a sound board of all the samples included in the “Sprite Sound” and handed it to a British rapper for more music. The music doesn’t stop there; the brand is also expanding Limelight, their platform for highlighting upcoming artists. Sprite is back to being the “official global soft drink partner” for the NBA, too—all moves which reaffirm its identity in these spaces. Plus, it’s making some new partnerships with spicy foods from Takis to McDonald’s and taking recent flavor additions global. (ADWEEK)
