Disney World is rethinking the vibe of their Villain Land. From the name alone, it’s obvious the new park section is all about the darker characters, but Disney adults aren’t the only ones the brand wants to please. For families and kids, they’re looking at making the experience a bit lighter. There will reportedly be an indoor water ride for Maleficent instead of a full rollercoaster (perfect for year-round fast passing) and a family-friendly rollercoaster based on The Emperor’s New Groove. The move comes as Universal’s Dark Universe park, with a similar darker vibe, is appealing to more budget visitors, potentially grabbing attention away from Magic Kingdom and its rising cost.
