PacSun just launched its own social commerce app. Like Amazon storefronts or LTK, PS Community Hub lets users curate product collections, share picks with followers, and earn commissions on sales—with no massive following required. But they say it’s less a traditional shopping app and more a creator platform where any user can build a personal brand within the PacSun ecosystem. The app was shaped by direct feedback from PacSun’s Youth Advisory Council and a 6K-respondent Youth Report covering topics Gen Z and Gen Alpha care about from mental health to social commerce. PacSun’s CEO says the brand has shifted to a “community-first approach” over chasing trending moments, and this is a clear way of building the infrastructure for it within their brand. The bet makes sense as YPulse data shows young consumers rank “individuals like me” as the top driver of fashion trends, above influencers and brands. (Modern Retail)
