Gen Z has big retirement dreams, but many have no idea how they’re funding them. A Skipton Building Society survey of 2K U.K. working adults found 27% of Gen Z want to spend their pension on experiences, imagining retirements filled with cruises, moving abroad, or turning hobbies into side hustles. In fact, 61% say they’d be “devastated” if they couldn’t achieve their dream retirement. The catch is that one third don’t know how much they’re currently contributing to their pension each month, even as they expect to retire at 60-years-old—the earliest of any generation. It’s a tension that sums up the generation as optimistic about the future, but hazy on the financial plan to get there. (The Telegraph)
