Gen Z loves a “seamless, all-in-one experience” when it comes to their money management. PYMNTS research reveals that this gen favors mobile banking, digital wallets, and real-time money movement when transferring and adding funds. Experts say these financial tools are especially important for a generation of gig-workers and side-hustlers, many of whom (69%) are living paycheck to paycheck. So, they prefer tools that help them manage credit on their own terms, like customizable repayment plans and spending controls. And while 94% approve of their current access to financial services, over a third of Gen Z credit union members say they might switch banks in the next year, often looking for better digital features and no-fee options—meaning many institutions must adapt or risk losing them.
