Blue’s Clues star Steve Burns is starting a podcast in hopes of being a “counterpoint to the current manosphere.” The 51-year-old actor, nostalgically known to Gen Z and Millennials for his lead role in Blue’s Clues, is launching a podcast called “Alive”—a nod to the rumors that Burns died after leaving the show in 2002. His new series will focus on “grown-up topics,” like death, philosophy, and spirituality, and his aim is to build a space that promotes vulnerability and warmth. His first guest, a hospice nurse, says the show is just what young adults need right now—a “sense of empowerment during this really terrible, hard process” that is young adulthood for the gens. While the pod doesn’t launch until fall, the announcement video on YouTube already has 58K views. (NYT)
