Gen Z is bringing back tons of Millennial trends.

Jun 11 2025

Gen Z is bringing back tons of Millennial trends. Whether they’re watching Sex and The City or wearing JNCO jeans, young adults and even teens are picking up the styles and habits of a gen they deemed cringey until very recently. Well, they might still find Millennials cringe, because most of these trends come with a TikTok-era twist. Big hair once made with bump-its has returned in the form of voluminous, layered cuts; Facebook albums from the night are now carefully curated “candids” in an Instagram carousel; Pokémon is still huge, but now with digital trading cards. Some things haven’t really changed, like Lady Gaga being a voice for recession pop (but Chappell Roan, too) and seeing wired earbuds, though Gen Z is probably in it for the aesthetic—and we aren’t too sure about all the vintage tech allegedly on the comeback.
