Almost half of Las Vegas visitors last year were Gen Z or Millennials, and the city wants more. Unlike past gens drawn in by traditional gambling and artist’s residency shows, younger tourists are seeking experiences that combine entertainment and luxe experiences with social-media worthy moments. While Millennials and Gen Z tend to spend less on gambling compared to Gen X, their increasing visitor numbers are pushing Las Vegas casinos to innovate and diversify their attractions. They’re reimagining the traditional casino floor with upscale restaurants led by celebrity chefs, more wellness experiences like spas and fitness activities, and slot machines designed with video game-style graphics. Casinos are also leveraging influencers for marketing and expanding digital options like online gaming and sports betting, which align more with the kinds of odds Gen Z is interested in.
