Millennial Brits are more than happy to hand over their ID’s. Over half (56%) of the gen say they’re delighted to have their age verified by a shop assistant. According to Bristol Post, 43% of Brits 28-44-years-old were annoyed by ID verification in their younger years. But once they hit 29-years-old, the request makes them feel youthful again: 39% said that it boosts their self-esteem, and 30% believe it makes for an entertaining story to tell. In fact, two thirds of Millennials would even be ecstatic if they were asked to show their ID—so of course they’re the gen most likely to brag to their friends and family if they were asked, too.
