Morgan Wallen’s unexpected SNL exit is meme (and merch) gold. It’s typically tradition for celebrities to stick around on stage after closing out a Saturday Night Live show and mingle with the cast. But this past weekend, the country singer caused a stir online when he abruptly walked off stage before the end credits and followed his exit with an Instagram story of his private jet captioned, “Get me to God’s country.” Naturally, the internet had a field day with this dramatic quote. Users on X were quick to create memes, making fun of the idea (and the irony) of a super-rich country star complaining about the city, all while boarding his own jet. Their posts showed what they feel is “God’s country” to get back to—from their favorite local Cheesecake Factory to Barbie’s Dreamland.
