Over a third of British Gen Z go to the gym to make friends. Some young people in the U.K. are prioritizing going to the gym over traditional social spaces like the pub. This is because for many Gen Z, going to the gym is a social activity in itself. Recent research from The Gym Group, one of the leading fitness chains in the country, shows that 35% of 18-24-year-olds consider exercising as a way to socialize.
