The CEO of Betches Media started a Substack advice column. Substack is gaining corporate attention—YPulse even told you this week that The RealReal is launching a gossip-style newsletter. Several other media CEOs and founders already have newsletters as well, and Betches CEO Aleen Dreksler says she’s noticed Betches’ audience spending time there. Her column “Please Advise” won’t only be about her career, though the first published newsletter is on male-dominated workplaces, but she’s also planning to cover regular relationship, motherhood, and life advice. Dreksler notes Substack is “a social platform without this really intense quick hit algorithm,” which is one of the many reasons young consumers are adopting it, too. (Axios)
