Calming “quietcations” are gaining wellness intrigue.

Jan 27 2025

Calming “quietcations” are gaining wellness intrigue. Pinterest searches for “quiet places” and “calm places” are trending upwards, indicating what might be the travel vibe for 2025: going somewhere to revel in silence. We know that young people are into taking digital detoxes and finding less-Instagram-ed destinations for their trips, which both indicate a desire for quiet, calm respites. The wellness aspect of quiet travels is breaking away from constant productivity and learning to be relaxed in stillness, rather than filling it with activities to keep from being uncomfortable. There are, of course, dedicated resorts for truly silent retreats, but also regular stays that simply encourage true disconnection—something a good number of young people are interested in. (Bustle)
