Rednote is already experiencing some issues with international accounts. Earlier this week, we reported that Rednote, an app allegedly set to become TikTok’s replacement, is a viral hit among young users anticipating the TikTok ban. However, a growing number of users are experiencing issues with their accounts being suspended or banned, with the app’s inability to verify American phone numbers resulting in account suspensions especially. Others are being penalized for sharing videos with the TikTok watermark, as it seems to be a restriction on Rednote. One of the main issues, of course, is that because the Community Guidelines are written in Mandarin, most new international users can’t read these stipulations. (Tech Crunch)
