A (unofficial) Disney game from 2003 is selling out faster than when it originally came out. Piglet’s Big Game was certainly not as much as a craze when it first came out 21 years ago. But the game is going viral now, because it’s reminiscent of games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, while featuring a beloved and timid Disney character. (The game is likely named after Disney’s real movie from the same year, Piglet’s Big Movie.) But in turn, some on social media are questioning if Silent Hill 2’s recently launched remake actually samples audio from Piglet’s Big Game, bringing its name back to gaming conversations. The PS2 version has now sold out numerous times on eBay and the prices are rising as new listings appear—some of the GameCube physical copies of the game are being resold for as much as $300.
