Some Spirit Halloween stores will transition to Spirit Christmas after October. The pop-up chain is transforming 10 of its 1.5K+ temporary locations to extend its stake in holiday shopping for a few more months. Most of these will launch after Halloween ends, but a location in New Jersey is set to open the very first Spirit Christmas on October 18. The National Retail Federation estimates that Halloween will generate approximately $11.6B for retailers across the U.S. and Canada this year, while nationwide winter holiday spending increased by 4% last year, reaching a record high of $964 billion. Since it seems the holidays can never begin early enough, according to Gen Z and Millennials at least, the company hopes that its Halloween success will translate into strong sales for Christmas decor as well.
