Young Black women are significantly boosting voter registration numbers in Pennsylvania.

Sep 11 2024

Young Black women are significantly boosting voter registration numbers in Pennsylvania. Recent data shows that registrations among Black voters rose by 110%, while those under 30-years-old increased by 59%, compared to the same week in 2020. So far, trends indicate that these young and newly registered voters are likely to support the Democratic party and vote for Kamala Harris. Also, in the same week Joe Biden announced he would not be running for president, registrations among Black women under 30-years-old grew by 262%. This data so far is a strong indication that women, younger voters, and particularly young voters of color are likely to participate at significantly higher rates than in 2020, potentially impacting the election outcome dramatically in this key swing state. 📊 YPulse data: 48% of 18-24 and 54% of 25-39-year-old POC say they would vote for Kamala Harris if the election were today
