Roblox creators made over $800M in the last year. As of the end of June, the game paid out $803M globally to creators who made experiences, avatars, and items in the Roblox Studio, which is 18% more than the year before. In the U.S. alone, the game reports to have generated $1.2B in U.S. GDP between 2017 and 2023. And making money from game creation is not exclusive to any one sector of the game’s 80M daily users—of which Statista reports 32M daily users in Q2 of 2024 were 13-years-old or younger. The access to creative tools is in fact one of the games main draws, with the potential to profit significantly simply a bonus, but also a burgeoning goal for young players. (Kidscreen)
