As Gen Z has grown up on the internet, they’re more likely to criticize Millennials for being heavily influenced by social media for finance advice. The survey found that 55% of Gen Z were shocked by Millennials’ spending habits, citing excessive waste, overspending, and pressure from friends. Nearly 53% of Gen Z admitted to overspending themselves, yet still perceived a significant difference in how Millennials manage their finances.
