But Gen Z and Millennials have been self-planning for a while now in the name of finding authentic experiences, paying less, and generally knowing the internet can give them tips for everything. However, as these gens are more likely than older ones to consider travel important and want to set out multiple times a year, the planning might be reaching a point of exhaustion. One survey in 2023 of 2K American travelers showed 38% of the younger gens preferred a traditional adviser to online booking.
