Parents are majorly impacting Gen Z’s job search.

May 07 2024

Parents are majorly impacting Gen Z’s job search. According to a recent survey of job seekers, 70% of Gen Z are turning to their parents for help in finding employment. Of those who successfully secure full-time positions, 83% credit their achievements to parental guidance and support. In 2019, the unemployment rate for 16-24-year-olds stood at 7.9%, the lowest rate since 1953. This marks a significant improvement from the high unemployment rate of 18% in 2010 for the same age group. (Forbes)
