Dads make up 18% of stay-at-home parents, but young adults are most likely to think stay-at-home moms are better.

Dads make up 18% of stay-at-home parents, but young adults are most likely to think stay-at-home moms are better. While just under half of Gen Z (18-26) believe stay-at-home fathers are “just as good” as stay-at home mothers, these young adults were most likely to believe they are actually worse at 21%. Experts say this is likely a result of cultural norms Gen Z has grown up with—especially during the pandemic, they likely spent more time with moms as the nurturers. But Ruth E. Freeman, a clinical social worker, explains fathers can be just as nurturing and responsive as mothers. (Newsweek)
