Twitter / X alternative Bluesky has lifted its invitation requirement. The platform currently has over 3M users and aims to address the issues of platforms like Facebook and TikTok by providing a more open and user-controlled space. Bluesky offers a similar service to Threads and X, while also allowing third-party labeling services for its content. And despite being invite-only for a period of time, the app nearly reached 800K in new users on its first day open to the public. YPulse already told you how Bluesky gained viral attention with its invite codes early last year, but now will be the true test of the platforms aim to take over the text-based space.
