Sweethearts Candies is launching limited-edition “Situationship Boxes” in time for Valentine’s Day.The boxes contain blurry and misprinted candies that are meant to reflect the messy nature of Gen Z relationships—targeting confused singles and encouraging them to embrace this type of relationship status. The limited-edition boxes are “filled entirely with sweet, muddled nothings and literal mixed messages,” and will be available for purchase online only starting January 8. YPulse’s Valentine’s Day report found Gen Z and Millennials plan to spend an average of $50 on V-day presents and they’re gifting to more than just romantic (or only sort-of romantic) partners, so brands should be paying attention to those connections too.
