A viral TikTok hack revealed Delta Air Lines distributes collectible trading cards featuring different planes. In a viral video with over 18M views from TikTok user @SAROWAR, viewers were let in on a secret: passengers can request a card from the captain, who hands over an official Delta trading card. While this has been ongoing since the early ‘00s, many travelers remain unaware. But as the trend is gaining attention, Delta crew members are noting an increase in requests and some passengers even resorting to buying cards on eBay due to potential shortages. It’s ultimately the exclusivity factor that’s making the cards so popular among young people.
